Private Path & Authenticated Page Scanning

How to scan pages behind login walls, onboarding flows, and checkout paths.

Some important parts of a website live behind authentication: dashboards, onboarding flows, account pages, checkout paths. Website Advisor can scan these private paths when you provide the right context.

How it works

  • Add private-path context to your scan with explicit URLs for the authenticated pages you want checked.
  • Optionally inject saved session cookies so the scanner can access pages that require login.
  • The scanner captures screenshots, checks performance, and evaluates UX for private paths just like public pages.
  • Private path results appear in the Context & Confidence section of your report.

Important limitations

  • The scanner checks only the specific private URLs you provide, not a full authenticated crawl.
  • Session cookies are used for the current scan run only and are not stored in scan history.
  • Scripted login (automatic username/password entry) is not supported yet.
  • Up to 6 private route URLs can be included per scan.
