How to run a scan
- Sign in to your Website Advisor account (or create a free account if you don't have one yet).
- On the dashboard, find the URL input field at the top of the page.
- Paste the full URL of the website you want to analyze (e.g. https://example.com).
- Click the Run Scan button.
- Wait about 30 seconds while the scan fetches your homepage, checks discoverability files, captures rendered evidence, and builds your report.
What happens during a scan
The scan engine fetches your homepage HTML, checks for robots.txt and sitemap.xml, captures desktop and mobile screenshots using a headless browser, runs Lighthouse performance and accessibility audits, samples follow-on pages for path quality, and evaluates message clarity, audience targeting, offer positioning, proof elements, CTA hierarchy, and technical trust signals.
